I was asked to get support for this so I thought some on here might like to help we sem to be fighting the same battles.
Folks I am asking for your help with something here and I appreciate it may only appeal to those who may have traveled here to Ireland in the past but even if you don't come here anymore for whatever your reasons if you could just jump on board for the love of the sport in general I would very much appreciate your time and it would mean so much to us as coarse anglers in Ireland. Our coarse fishing federation (the NCFFI, of which I am currently on the committee in charge of conservation, protection and preservation) will shortly be seeking a change to the current and pointless bye law which is the four fish rule (whereby someone can take four fish for whatever use). This law has been used by a certain minority to rape waters over here with the loophole that doesn't prevent you from coming back time and time again in the same day and taking four fish each time. We are going to seek a complete change of this law in the coming month and to return it to full catch & release and to do this I would like to seek your support as members of the same sport albeit in another country. To do this I would ask you to vote in a poll on this website http://irelandscoarsefishing.com/fo...hp?f=2&t=544 and apart from voting if possible leave a short reply stating why you are supporting us in a change of these ridiculous rules. If for some reason I am breaking a rule of this site by requesting this then could an Admin pm me and perhaps you could oblige by creating a poll on this forum taking into account what I have written above? I really appreciate any assistance we get from this plea and hopefully it will go a long way to help us protect our stocks for the future and let us get back to some of you returning to Ireland in future years to benefit from such a move.
