The Greys trolling floats look ok. They have the crooked stem in the body and come in FO size too.

Just grabbed some of the XL fox trolling floats. They take 35gs and have the same kink. Look just the job.

Not half as tough as the Greys ones I am afraid. Snapped more of them stems that I can shake a stick at, especially on the strike if using braid.

Next time you're after floats, 'av a look at eddieturnertackle.co.uk.

Ed does variety of dumpy/trolling floats right up to a massive job that takes 5oz lead and is just the job for slow trolling in good depths. (or supporting mansize baits).

Floats are good value and 'very robust'.

(proper pike gear for proper pikers)!!

cheers Dave

ps. i personally think these trolling floats are just gimmicks.

Give me a decent size float with a decent size lead anytime (keeps the bait where it actually needs to be).

The 'kinky' floats may lock on the line but 35gms wont keep the bait down that well when your on the trolling motor/oars!!

And can be a nightmare when your about to land a good 'un and the b*****rd float is locked up by your tip ring!!!
