Whats the margin fishing like at Kingsmead 1? Has anyone had in luck at Kingmead one in the Margins if so any size?

John,

It was my first year on the mead last year so I can't claim to be an expert but the fish i caught last year all came from the edge.

Listen to what *Sam* and the guys have got to say but I reckon well over 80% of the fish caught come from the margins.

To be honest the weed gets so bad that most of the time the only place you can present baits without hours of plumbing is close in. There are loads of lovely margin spots though so you're spoilt for choice.

as for the mead, the margins are the only consistenly producing areas. apart from bankers, (if you dont know, you wont know).

party bank close in has a wicked gravel run all the way along it. the mud bank has a shelf along it, certainly in the bay, the fish patrol just off the shelf.

keep the line down and stay back from the edge. shep is right, about 80% of fish are from the edge.

pin it down, feed little and often.
