View Full Version : Carp Society Show - Well Done RMC
This was the first society show i'd been to for ten years, due to the poor quality of the last one i'd attended.
Well what can I say about this one.... it was fantastic, absolutley brilliant. Well done to all who organised it and a credit to the revamped CS panel!
Future shows of this quality will be big news for sure!!!!

It was my first carp society show and I was impressed with most of what I saw. I managed to pick up one or two small bargains and lots of useful information and advice. I also thought that the Sutton fish looked superb!
One small criticism was that the sound system in the main forum was not up to the job, at least not when I was up there.
Apart from that though I thoroughly enjoyed myself - mind you the entry price was a bit steep!
It was my first Carp show and I thought it was excellent.
It was good to set eyes on the RMC guys at last...and I got my book signed by Neil.
Ian........why were all the polo shirts only in XLarge?!
Some of us are lithe like the fox.............OK...skinny!
I'll have to wait for when they arrive on the site.
Plenty of bargains to be had.......my best one was getting an imaculate bivvy for £50!...who cares it wasn't the 'one I've always wanted'...I can sell it for more!
As part of the organising Ian,.....take some real credit as it went so well.
Anyone else get some good deals?

Yeah, a brilliant show, but I agree the mikes for the forums were a bit naff, great workshops though, layout was as near as damit perfect, didnt spend too much. I must say the boy was very impresed first show he has been to and was septical on the drive up. But he attended the junior session in the morning and he came out full of enthusiasm and ideas. Thanks Martin, Brian and Jules. He also came away from the society stand in the afternoon laiden down with goodies. He is so fire'd up I think I might have trouble keeping him off the water over Christmas. All in all we came away very impressed and cant wait for next year. A very big well done to all concerned. We walked around at least three times and we,re shure we still missed some bits.
Thanks for a great day everybody.

It was a brillent show put on by a brillent club it makes me proud to be a member the best stands had to be RMC but what do expect from Ian and his team (sorry I did'nt say hi)
then there was the Carp Talk stand where I got my copy of an exellent book written by Chris Yates and the Carp Society stand was exellent I was a bit sad not to see my picture of my 28lb linear part of the wining haul at the junior fish-in on the board but there is one in Yateley Angling Centre (cheers John) and I hope it is going to be as good next year.

Sounds like a good idea to me, stick more of those beautiful sutton fish in Yateley, but if Yappi can have some for his pond, can i have some for mine??
After seeing how quickly those fish grow at 27 degrees, i am now looking at getting rid of a number of fish in my tank, and heating it up, i have a treble row linear about 3 inches long, that would look nice in any lake!!!
