View Full Version : Fishery Maintenance Books
Can anyone (Ian ?) recommend a good book on fisheries managment and maintenance ? I'm looking for something more from a river point of view than the Sparsholt book reviewed on this site which is aimed at carp fisheries. Maybe Sparsholt have a published book on this type of thing ?
A name that springs to mind is Nick Giles, but not 100% about this. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
Any websites would be useful too.
Thanks,
Bill.
There was a book I once read called "River Keeper" I think, that was more on the lines of keeping a river as a job and not fishery management, have you done a search on ask jeeves (http://www.amazon.co.uk>Amazon</A>)?

Thanks guys, but I did a bit of digging about and came accross some old copies of Waterlog in which Nick Giles (I was sure that was the name) explains exactly what I want to know, but not in enough detail... apparently he has a couple of books published by the Game Consevation Trust so I'll look there.
BTW - couldn't find anything on the web... might make interesting reading Ian /images/forum/icons/smile.gif
