Random question DTD, have you ever had problems with your backleads getting caught in the holes in that concrete lake bed/floor type stuff?
Knowing my luck they would fall into the gaps and get wedged :(

never had a problem with the leads or backleads, its the hooks which get caught up and blunted in em, ! nightmare !

Same swim as this one Martin, was taken a long time ago & having trouble remembering which one myself!! If i remember rightly, it's from along either the dairy bank or the horseshoe bank...I think!!

Most websites shrink images as they are uploaded so if you uploaded onto Photobucket for instance they would be reduced to a reasonable size for viewing on a PC.

It's easy to do yourself in most picture browsers where you'd look for an edit - resize type of command and reduce A COPY to 800 pixels maximum

If you want the pics to show here - removing the square brackets from the file names might have the required effect

You get this kind of pic late in the day when when the sky is stormy and the sun is dropping behind you. The sun peeps through the clouds to light up the scene and click!

As martin said, storm coming in over the lake and clearer sky behind me lighting the picture.
Got to admit I upped the contrast in photoshop a tad to give it that little edge. :) (no different to pushing prints in the darkroom though)

That is how the rods come, they are diawa twilight barbel rods, but are great for bream fishing.

Catch, errr no, was too busy laughing anyway as the water kept spraying us.

Just to show, we did have some sun, just the wind never dropped.

Wow lads, this is the first time i've looked at this thread...and i started looking at it over an hour ago! Some of the photo's are amazing and really capture the "just being there" side of fishing which one of the strongest reasons i go fishing. As of now, i'm just about to finish uni, got my last exam on tuesday and this thread has really given me that frustration of not being able to get the rods out until next weekend! Cant wait! Excellent photo's :D
