James

hi,
I will but just thought it would be and good idea and a plan for the further.
James
Hi James,
You've got all the time in the world at your age, enjoy getting a bend in the rod for the next couple of years, as Ian's said.
You'll know when the time is right.
Have a bit of fun on the Split / Match and Sandhurst first, the fish are plenty big enough in there.
If you try to tackle the Car-Park or Horton to soon it might have an opposite effect and you might lose interest in Carp angling all together, and we don't want that to happen!
I can only speak from experience on Horton, although there are more fish in there the lake is tough, even when they seem to be really having it! Personally i enjoy that kind of challenge though, and i like working hard for my fish it gives me that extra bit of satisfaction.
See you soon on the Split.

hi,
I do understand but if in fours years time i want to fish then i will have to wait four years by putting my name on now i can then in four years time not have to wait and if i am not ready i don't have to fish it.
I know they are all hard lakes
James
If james wants to have a crack at it in 4-5 years he should do so. You never know he might be one of those rare talents.
James go with your gut instinct mate.

How old was Mr Hearn when he tackled these lakes?

hear hear,
lets face it at a younger age he will have more time on his hands especially in summer so it will be a steep learning curve and he will have more energy and desire than some of the old duffers out there !!! (except maybe Tim Paisley who seems to be some kind of machine). The only problem might be affording all the bait - have to get on free naturals or a lucrative bait sponsorship James !
Fun on the match lake????????????
You make it sound easy!
The match is still bloody hard compared to most in the country.
Id still agree though that you should gain experience on there first before yu get on the car park, but in 4 years time, you will be pretty experienced. Get your name down James!
i agree with the rest of the lads mate, no one is saying about your ability to catch carp but the car park and horton are bloody hard lakes mate and as one or two of the lads say money for bait money for your ticket ect if you do go on there GOOD LUCK mate fish well

Sod the Car park far to hard for the likes of me,lifes to short and there are plenty of easy fish to catch.
Ive got my name down for the car park and North, Horton, and Crayfish pool!
By the time my Yately or Horton tickets come up, I'll hopefully have enough experience. I know ful well how hard the North will be and the car park, but I will give them my best and hopefully I will get something out of my efforts. If not, at least I tried, but I doupt I'll leave untill I have had some sort of success there no matter how long it takes me, the fish in there are worth every hour on the bank and every penny you pay for the tickets.
See you on there James!
Bazil's first on my list!
pair play mate good luck to you.
cheers
sam
