Fished area near pangbourne couple of weeks ago with a mate and his son snatching small roach after catching a dozen or so stuck one on as livebait and had a pike within seconds his boy nearly jumped out of boat as he had only caught small trout before, A quick rebait and ten minutes later he was into his second pike and so it continued with six pike in two hours nothing big up to about nine pounds but the look on his face was priceless. all fish fell to lives and most takes where only a couple of rod lengths from boat, lad and his dad are now converted pike addicts lol . get a boat you can still blank as easily but you get a much better view of the river
