2007 Bubbles Memorial Fish in

I am pleased to announce that CEMEX Sandhurst Lake has been provisionally booked for the weekend of the 23rd – 25th November 2007 for the 3rd Bubbles Memorial Charity fish in, in aid of Stoney and Friends and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Price for the weekends fishing, being 11am Friday 23rd until 11am Sunday 25th will be £40. Sandhurst having some 31 swims, which will be somewhat crowded if all taken, the spaces available will be limited to 25 giving a little bit more room to all, not that fishing should be too serious on a weekend like this :) . Those that attended last year can vouch for that :norty:

The spaces available will be on a first come first served basis. Places will only be confirmed once payment has been received. Should anyone have to drop out for any reason, the money will not be refundable but will go to Stoney and Friends and your place will be freed up for someone else to join the weekend. Sorry to have to do it this way but to prevent a shortfall in payments, muggins here would probably have to make the difference up to CEMEX for full payment of the lake, which frankly, could send me, bankrupt! LOL

Hopefully, there will be a raffle to be held on the weekend and anyone wishing to contribute prizes for the raffle or have contacts that would be willing to donate prizes, all will be much appreciated, just drop me a PM to let me know :thumbs:
More details to follow in the weeks ahead as it is in its early stages. Once sorted, pledges for raffle tickets will be welcome.
Anyone who is interested in having a good social with, I expect, a bunch of top blokes, dangling for the weekend, in memory of “Bubbles” (RIP) a former forum member, could you please PM me so I can send you details of where to send payment for your place.

PLEASE NOTE: The lake booking cannot be confirmed until a good proportion of the money has been paid to CEMEX so hurry, hurry, hurry, drop me a PM soon for the addy to send your money for your place, so we can secure the lake.

I very much doubt if Gareth will be involved in the group curry order due to course of events with his food last time.

But most importantly of all it will be a great bash for a good cause no matter what and I am proud to be a part of it!

i,m only doing what dad would have done stu i lost my nan to cancer and to see her like that killed my dad so i,m looking at not education but help for familys and patients alike cancer is one of the biggest killers out there and not enough is being done to reserch imho but what reserch is being done is a bloody big step and yes i beleive alan and the rest of stoney and friends should be applauded for the work they do and i hope that they get some recgonition for the brilliant work they do so from me to alan and stoneys to all that has taken part in years gone by and to come (fingers crossed) to cemex for the use of their lakes and to everyone who sent such kind and inspiring words of hope and comfort to me when i was at my lowest i thank you from the bottom of my heart .
