Are you just fishing for the carp or other spieces too?

Shepperton is a very unprdictable place just for the fact that it is permanently connected to the Thames. The bream will come out big time when the Thames is high, you will need a lot of groundbait and very good casting accuracy, but if you get them going it can produce 100lb plus bags with fish up to 7lb plus. Fot the Pike the best swims are certainly over the far side by the sunken barge. Wobbled sprat with "NO" weight attached is the best method. If you don't get a take in the first 4 casts move on to another swim. Be very careful of the snags there. For lure fishing a big 2oz+ silver toby is great, I can cast a 2oz toby in excess of 100yds, make sure the reel is full and of good quality. As for the carp, I am not a carp angler but you won't do any worse that any "red" coloured bait in the winter. There are quality roach to be found but to be honest if the Thames aint flooded you are better off there for the roach with hemp & caster on the stick. It can be a pain of a place at times but perseverance is the key. If you blank on one day does not mean the next day you will. I am going to give it a bash in the spring for the Bream as it is quite local to me, I will post a message on how I do.

Have you considered registering your name? You have the advantage of receiving and sending private messages amongst other things. Give it a try Dave.

That is true Dave, by registering you have the oportunity to private message people instead of "broadcasting it" It can be useful if you need to just contact one person opposed to everyone.
