Has anyone with a garden pond having frogs and toads die (approx 30 to date) in and around their pond. It has plenty of weed and lillies, fountain and waterfall and depths between 6 '' and 3'.
Last 2 weeks, loads are simply dying. Never had this B4.
Water quality seems normal and the fish are okay.
Any thoughts ? Anyone else having similar problems ?

Have you or anyone nearby used insect pesticides? These can kill insect eating frogs and toads.....slug pellets etc....
It may not be the pond water as the fish are ok....but something landbased where the frogs and toads hunt?

there is a virus that has reduced the amphibian population in recent years, could be this. or there is soap in the water

To me it sounds like theyÂ’ve been poached by a marauding band of French Chefs.
(And before you say it Smarts poaching Frogs is not the best way to serve them).

can you bow fish for frogs?... i know the ones out there in the good old USofA are huge frogs that have legs big enough to feed a small family but do you think your aim is good enough to spear a small english froggy??? /forum/images/icons/wink.gif

I believe darts would be more appropriate to spearing those pawny English Frogs.

What do you call a frog with no legs?
It doesn't matter- he won't come anyway.
What do you call a frog with legs?
