Horton / Kingsmead / Boat Pool First Gate Lock

I noted last night that the farmer's padlock has been removed from the first gate into the complex (turning before the church). Coupled with a sign re: a funeral outside the gate and farmland being up for lease, is the farm now unoccupied leaving the gate basically unlocked all of the time (noting that this gate is always not shut and locked as it should be anyway - see mail re: gypsies in the area elsewhere on the forum) ?

Do you mean the big black gates at the entrance, Friar?
They are locked at night, but seem to be open all day as people come and go. I imagine the farmer doesn't want to get in and out of his tractor../forum/images/icons/laugh.gif...it's a long way up back into the cab!
Am I the only one that ends up following that tractor everywhere?!!

I do mean the big black gates and they are normally left open in the day. There are normally two padlocks on the locking bar - one for RMC and one for the farmer. The farmer's padlock had been removed completely when I left the other night. At least you're not the one who normally meets the tractor coming towards you halfway up the lane like some people /forum/images/icons/wink.gif
