When you say "Odd'ns" are you refering to Dave Lanes book, An Obsesion With Carp?

Pete

From what I gather the 'odd uns' were those fish which either never saw the bank (i.e the leather) or those which were caught very rarely and even though smaller fish, much harder to catch than the larger residents. I think 3 scales was one of these, in fact I think it was out recently at 20+.

Rosie (i think its that) and the Egg are also Odd uns.

cheers lads,it just excites me to think a water that sees so much pressure can still hold secrets and legends,it fires you up to think of such places and to think how good it would be to devote your time and effort for such fish, alas my circumstances will not allow this, but you must always have a dream that one day it could be a possibilty, pure magic, cheers gus /forum/images/icons/wink.gif ..

Unfortunately, Olive no longer exists. Rosie, yeh Awesome looking carp( usually around 26lb). Recent captors include Marky Mark, two or three years ago and Paul AKA "The Brummy", last year. Three scales, as mentioned 30+. The Egg, mmm not sure. I never saw it but maybe still there. Mini Marys Mate, 30ish is there but does not get caught. Has been out a long while ago but not for a long time. Measles 28-30, gets caught and is one of Wraysburys oldest, along with Marys mate...I think.

Hi guys.
The common Wayne D had is Jacko's, its top weight on the bank is 35.8, it comes out every three years, odd as they get.
Floppy the other common comes out once a season at low 30s.
Phill Ts fat common is no longer around, that had the name of Judy.
I think these are the only 2 original wraysbury 1 commons left.
Some of the Redmire stockie commons are getting near 30s. now.
Nigels 30 mirror, mini marys mate, was banked by Clive T at 27 three years previous.
No myths left, just legends.
