be carefull of the cattle in the top field there are no fences there now and they seem very interested in you when you are fishing
wouldnt leave any thing too far out of reach as its liable to be eaten or trampled
1st style still very tricky to get other with your tackle
now the new fence has been installed this style is facing the wrong way

does anyone bailifs/mods know if there are plans to modify it to make it easier to get over

river looking nice last night
clearish but with a hint of colour about same level as last week which is surprising considering amount of rain

Guy's, Lodden Drive is underwater at the moment and the Pat's is totally unreachable. I tried to get down there in my van and had to turn round (just) when the bow waves went over the top of my bonnet.

Please be careful!

Hello mate,

i was on the Pat's last night, the lane was still flooded and i had to park up by the A4 and the banks where all flooded (TDFC side), the Cemex side was looking grim! I walked down to the river with my waders on and was glad i did as the water on teh banks was waist height in places.

Hi. Has anyone been to St Pats or Twyford recently? any info regarding the conditions now? I would'nt want to drive all the way there to find the banks under water or too dangerous to venture onto. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

becarefull they are getting bigger and more aggresive think they are bulls

they were not too impressed when i walked past them after dark a few of them charged at me luckily i shouted and they stopped but then about 6 or 7 herded me out of the field

during the day they were fine but if/when they get much bigger and more braver im not so sure it will be safe to fish in the field anymore

has anyone else had any probs with them

I was planning a day session on the St Patricks Stream next week. Any tips, baits, or swims would be really appreciated.

Spoke to a guy last week who told me that there were still bullocks in the field and they were not very friendly.

Hi lads ,
a mate of mine went down there yesterday and said the place has changed beyond all recognition . Most of the trees have been removed along with any natural cover . Sounds very sad to me , no-one was fishing there either .

Try under the foot bridge from the waggon and horses cp,cross the bridge turn left and walk about 20 yds up stream, fish down the inside under the bridge...light link leads...used to bag some whiskers fm there....then go an have a pint and and say hi to margaret from me....also have a look a the only pic of the 36lb linear fm the lake(just inside the front door of the pub...on the left as you walk in)(the man in the photo was the only captor of that fish...he found it dead and buried behind the teabag swim)

Massive shout to all the old twyford crew

Jamie.

I had a few hours on the bank tonight until about 10pm but no luck I'm afraid. The river was pretty fast in places & quite coloured, took nearly 3oz to hold bottom in the faster swims.

I had 15 mins or so in a few swims but ended up fishing near the car park when darkness fell. I didn't fancy walking across the field & bumping into the not very friendly inhabitants!! There was only one in the field when I was there but he was giving me the serious evils. LOL!

Met one other angler but as it was his first time also he couldn't really help with swims etc so if anyone wants to drop me a line I'd be really grateful. I think I'll try the Loddon next time.

Fished St Pats today. - Not a touch. Fished 7 or 8 swims for 3/4 hour each but no joy. One other guy fishing as well when i left at 4pm he hadn't caught either. Water looks like it needs some colour.

Had a few hours on the Twyford bank on sunday. Spoke to a few chaps who were biteless, and so it was for me. Packed up before dark, while I still had some feeling in my hands.
