Tony Parker has kindly donated a specially built Spod rod as the prize for the Article of the MOnth competition. Everyone knows how special Tony Parkers hand built rods are and this is your chance to have a very limited edition. The rod will be recognisable as a winners prize with the special livery chosen to be applied.

The winner will be chosen by the editor of the site.

The first winner is Michael Poulter, with his 'Two Nights, Two 30s, Two Venues!' piece, which the judges thought was concise, well-written and captured the excitement of two fine catches.

Congratulations Michael, and can you please PM Mick Barnes, who will arrange the delivery of your prize Tony Parker spod rod.

Keep those articles and reports coming, and remember, it's not necessarily what you put in the landing net that decides the winner - it's what you put into the report!

Good luck.

Another vote for "In a Childs Eye" from me. I'll be looking to take my little boy soon and there are some great venue thoughts and useful ideas to keep them amused when the going gets tough.

Nice one Mr Singy

What he said....

How refreshing to read an angling article that is not full of technical "mumbo jumbo" or blatant plugs for Bait/Tackle companies.

Instead we have an article about the true meaning of angling, took me right back to when I was a kid and my Dad used to take me, probably the happiest memories of my childhood :)

Bravo Mr Singleton...

Cheers everyone :)

First time I've ever won anything (other than stonez weights at raffles) :)

Oh, I did win second prize in a metal dectector competition once, which was a manual about metal detecting, which considering only the first prize winner actualy won a metal detector was about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
