A group of 5 were down for a whole week until last Saturday evening. At last count 10 fish out to 26lb.
Between the Pads, Pole and Waiting Mans producing the fish.

Hi tony,
Cheers for the response - Any idea whats been coming out on what baits of late? Any particles/Seed mixes scoring?
Cheers
Unless the rules have changed, and if they have I have not been told, but there are bait restrictions on the Pads. I will check and post Tuesday rather than giving you incorrect info.
As for boilies. All different brands are being used from shelf life to of the shelf frozen baits to home made. All seem to catch if in correct swim. The pads fish best with the least number of anglers on the lake.

The only particles allowed on the pads are Sweetcorn, Hemp and Trout Pellet. The pads fish have been feed on Trout Pellet from time to time so must be worth a go.
Tony
As they are classing trout pellets as a particle which is allowed I presume this means CSL pellets, Halibut pellets, Scopex pellets etc are banned?
Anyone know for sure?
At a guess it depends on the make up of each type of pellet. I believe the main reason for a particle ban is poor preparation of some seeds and nuts etc can cause harm. As a pellet is out of a bag and manufactured like the humble trout pellet, should they also be banned?
I think this is a question for Ian to answer.
Tony
Cashy boy,
How did you and your associates get on at the Pads then? Hope you all hauled but somewhere in the back of my head I'm getting vibes that a cheque book and pen may need posting....... :-)
Would you care to shed some light?

No seriously cheers cash for informing me about the disaster that u had, least i now know what NOT to do tee hee hee heee.yeh Bovis apparently the thing that is working is absaloutly pouring buckets and buckets of bait in definatly not pva bags /forum/images/icons/smile.gif
Hmmmm, a brace of 19s was all that was had. You may jest, but the fish did not want to know! NE winds put them off feeding for a bit!
8 lads the 3 days before only took 4 fish in total, its not fishing its head off at the moment. However with this change in weather again it may just kick off.
Bove, listen to what G says and then reverse it!
Cash
Don't be saying that to the Priesthood, Cash........They'll be playing their records backwards next.....

The Priesthood will only be playing their records backwards because they can't work out how to play them forwards!!! LOL
I feel that there may be a job available on the Pads during 'the outing' to fill PVA with suitable baits, as with the amount of alcohol that they allegedly consume they won't be able to do it!! LOL /forum/images/icons/wink.gif
Someone should also check they get to the right lake, else they'll end up fishing The Carpark and wondering why it's so hard!!
Group of us fished it a couple of days midweek, just one carp. All fish jumping and movement was between Pole position and Pads for first day. Early morning on the last night there was some activity mid way up lake and that was when and where the fish was caught. Otherwise couple of Pike caught and some roach. 18mm Boilies were coming back 6mm after 3 or 4 hours of being pestered by small stuff.
anymore updates lads, we'll be en route soon, am real lloking forward to it, oh and just to be different the hood has decided to detox for the week, Takedown, sorry mate there wont be a single beer on site, not joking either

Just for a minute your heart must have missed a beat /forum/images/icons/wink.gif
LOL
As with most lakes at the moment G, your gonna have to really work hard to catch them. They are having a bit of a siesta, it will kick off when they've finished munching the naturals.
Cash
Naturals????????
Its the Pad lake.....all the naturals got muched by the 100 carp ages ago!!!!! Fish it right and you'll slay......
You have pm.......

Use hard baits though, as it is rife with silver fish!! I was bringing in wittled down baits after 3 hrs!
Cash
