As for the pike im sure that there is something in the RMC Rules that you can only fish with small spinners for them, ot something like that.......perhaps someone else knows the exact rule.

I think the rule book says that piking is allowed until 31st March. Is this correct ? This obviously doesn't apply to rivers but I was thinking of elsewhere.

I think the exact ruling is you can use spinners for Perch under 2" long in the out of pike season on RMC waters... of course I fish with the fly for the perch myself.
