View Full Version : carp special venues
I have fished Lake 3 a few times for the Tench & Bream and have see some big carp in there, I am going back a few years now... the swim I have seen the carp in is the one with the overhanging tree on the far bank, very snaggy area so keep it tight.

How about someone fishes it for you while you watch?!
Read your post again and see if your questions are a touch unreasonable. Surely half the fun is exploring a new water for yourself. Ian has given you plenty of info to get you started.

I may see you up there I will be giving lake 3 a session soon. But for the tench and not the carp.

Go and find out for yourself like the guys who know the water. No short cuts for being succsessfull just hard work.Respect others knowledge and they might just respect you and help you along.Everyone wants short cuts these days.
A friend i took with me had an 18 out of there on floatfished sweetcorn while after Tench and I saw a 20+ come from the snags.. I have observed the fish feeding over by the snags on many occasions but it is difficult to see the size of them... roumer has it that it will easily do a 30 but that is roumer.

I've not intentionally fished Sutton for the carp, mainly tench and bream, but no 1 (car park lake) I've seen 7s, 8s and 9s coming out, usually on boilies. They seem to hang out on the far left of the lake as you look from the car park. No 3 (back lake) is as Ian and the guys have said, first few swims, fish into the overhanging trees opposite bank, fruit flavoured boilies seem to score, which also account for a lot of tench too. Hope this helps.

I have a ticket for Sutton 1 & 3 for this year... close to my home and hopefully some fairly easy sport on short day and evening sessions... maybe I'll see you there... as far as your question about the "going bait" I would personally find out what that is and what the "going method" is and do something completely different... thats how you winkle out the lumps that don't often get caught!! Be smarter than they are!! :o)
