Travel information needed.

I've got tickets for the mens singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday July 7th and could really do with some information about travel to and from Kingscross.
I'm thinking of getting a Taxi from Kingscross to Wimbledon and back, but could do with a rough idea about how much it is going to cost me. Or is there a cheaper way to do it that isn't going to be too difficult?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated people as I know very little about traveling in London.

I wouldn't get a taxi if i we're you(unless you're rich !)best bet is either a mainline train to Wimbledon (change at Waterloo) & when you come out the station there are special buses to & from the tennis.Ask at Kings Cross when you get you're travelcard(includes buses & tubes where needed).Cost wise no more than£5 or £6 return.One last thing,pack you're brolly-it always rains at Wimbledon !
