Haven't had chance to post anything this week. But thought you'd be interested to hear about my session on Crayfish last Sunday.

Me and a mate popped down sat for a night, by Sunday morning we've bagged Lumpy and the Long Fish!

I hooked Lumpy first and within a minute of that Josey had a take which resulted in the long fish!

Lumpy 28lb 8oz
Long Fish 33lb 4oz

Got some great picture's including a brace picture of both of us!

Hopefully pictures in Carp talk next week.

Still buzzing!

Nice one! I look forward to seeing the piccies....some of the nicest looking carp there are. The long Fish is a favourite of mine.....one day.....maybe one day!

Cash, just to let ya know the piccies of the fish from Sandhurst on your report appear to be missing as does the 26lb fish from rootswood.

Thanks bud, i've sent the Billmaster a file to open for the Sandy pics as i couldn't get into them etc, and i'll amend the Rootswood 26 later tonight. Awesome fish aren't they!

Top result, was kind of worrying if the brace shots came out!

When I get my pics back I'll scan them in and let you have them.

After being there when Scar came out I'm wondering if I'll ever get a chance...yeah right!

See you up there maybe next week, would be going today but life's got in the way...she's a nice lass though!

Well done again to the both of you, hard work rightly rewarded.

The long fish is absolutely amazing!

Anyone know of when the last brace of fish came out from the water?

This is 1st time Lumpy has been out since Gary Harrow had the fish last year at over 30lb. 2nd time in 10 years!

Makes you wonder how many other suprises are waiting to be caught!

There was a rumour that they was a bigger fish in the Crayfish than Scar. I know Gary Bond thought he had seen it, and it was Slate Gray.

Not sure it is really there though???

apparently Gary Harrow saw this fish last year.
Haven't seen it myself but you never know!

Why do people rave about crayfish pool,theres only a hand full of fish over thirty?
i do agree The long fish is a stunner.
Suppose it's a history water with the like of Richie Mac,Hutchie and Shelly(ye right!LOL) fished it in years gone by.

Scott, Its a cracking little water, you can see the fish most days, and its very intimate. It really does grab you.

Top place, and the fish, well there is a photo of the longfish in Rod Hutchinsons book 'The Carp Strikes Back'. The size of its fins and tail have to be seen to be beleived, and the all the other fish are awsome too!
