As a new angler to this venue i must say that what pleasent anglers fish it. I have tried three times so far since the begining of february but have not caught yet. I did bounce a fish last week on cheese paste, probably because i got excited and it all ended in a terrible mesh. I will have a few more visits before the season closes and try to extract a lump or two. I only hope i get better conditions. see ya.

Glad you are enjoying it. There is a reasonable atomosphere down there at the moment. Even when you aren't catching. The wildlife always stops you from getting bored. Saw a weasel on the path trying to nick Chig1's bait the other weekend! Chig1 was too slow and missed it! LOL.

Has anybody been over there the last couple of days, what does the river look like, how coloured up is the water?

you will have to come along one saturday when the reprobates above are all fishing.Good fun drinking Pauls tea and eating Garys hobnobs and taking the micky out of swan vesta.Watching the boss fish every swim on the river twice and then getting back home and see me moaning about blanking again.I've enjoyed every minute of it.Including getting stuck in the trees behing Cornishes swim and getting shouted at for making a noise.You try creeping about when your 20 stone.
