Looking forward to it then?!!
...How exactly does the draw work?
Is it first drawn card, has first choice of swim or is it a draw for swim number....anybody?
...also, apart from the March 2000 copy of Carpworld, I'm sure I saw a couple of earlier articles on the place.....can anyone recollect any more? I think one was by Steve Edwards (maybe a Richworth promotion?) & the other was about a guy who had three fish on opening day???
I think there was an article in Big carp by Essex Jay - shadow should be able to tell you, i think he is a freind of his..
Steve_White

Last year the opening day draw was done by everyone in attendance being given a raffle ticket. Numbers were then drawn and first out got their choice of swim etc. Subsequent draws 'on the gate' are done by bunging everyones' syndicate permit in a placcy bag - again first out gets the choice.
The articles on Sutton were Big Carp issue 56 Feb/Mar 2001 and there was something in Advanced (sic) Carp Feb/Mar 2002. Tel also did a series of articles in AT a while back.
...cheers Raf.

Remember the 1st day a few years ago when essex jay had 4 fish including the fully scaled and blind eye!
"High point" is the swim to be in lads!
Who's the lucky [censored] that got there RAF?
*scott*
High swim only good if the Bream are spawning...
Then the first couple of days i think you got a chance anywhere...
LOUGHNANE
29-05-2002, 13:28
Raf,
bet you 10 Euro(oh no u dont have them yet!) that blind eye will fall to a pop-up form High point on the 1st day!
*scott*
does blind eye always fall for a pop-up because it cant see anything else?
sorry!!
Terry

I was next to essex jay when he had the big hit i was out before him in the draw but took the bars .what a
mistake ...got me own back when i threw him in, high point produced no fish last year .pier swim looks a good bet neil lost 2 their last year, the only problem is the trees gone which was the best snag on the lake
hopefully get a swim draw on sunday .good luck
Guess who drew the Pier swim.....
P.S. im glad the snag has gone....
....I'm sure they'll all be queuing up in the Chicken swim.....
a, I like the chicken swim was my second choice.....
I will be doing a fair bit in there this season for sure, unless SimOn beats me to it after he has a couple on Saturday..
Anyone else down for Sunday as well.. ???
....raf.....raf....wake up! .....I think I had the same dream!...
Sorry i cant help myself im buzzing like a good one......
Not long now till 4:00am Saturday morning and il'l probably fall over down the path in the dark trying to get to me swim so quickly.
Simon are we having Bacon sandwiches in the morning !!!!!
....yes m8, it would be rude not to! I'll bring some gear!
At least I'll not have to worry about getting up that morning....I'll be coming straight from work!
Steve_White
30-05-2002, 20:59
You could'nt pop a sarnie round to me in the 'Dead Tree' could you? Between 8 & 9 would be nice!!
...why not, there will be a 'human chain' round the lake saturday...
not long now !!!!
T-20 hours and counting
Be lucky Raf and lads, hope you all bag a whacker early on!
I dont suppose you could have one of them sarnies ready for me at 10 oclock Si ? ;-)
Think we better start up a cafe in the car park...
I see your an Essex lad Raf , what part?
Hornchurch, but currently living in Upminster due to going fishing too much...
Well thats her excuse anyway....
Hornchurch, Upminster not much difference mate
