Amazing - there's always someone who thinks they can do it better!! Even though they've no knowledge of the original brief, the budget, the functionality, technology requirements, site management requirements or anything about the history of the account/site.

The quicker people learn that web sites are more than simply skin deep (i.e. design only) the better!!

end of the day this site is perfectly up the the job it is intended, and if more stuff were required then Ian has plenty of people to do it all and probably knows his stuff himself.
Although comment by Paul was a little harsh.
this guy may well do this for a living or something mate,
it may well have been a genuine offer for a little assistance as he knows this buisness inside out,
no need to jump down his throat mate.

Fair point Andy, however:
1) If it was a genuine offer why address the post as it was?
2) If he knew his stuff inside out then he would know better that make such brash a statement/offer/condemnation
3) I consider I'm good at what I do! I've run a web design agency (sold), managed a business ISP and e-commerce based web agency, taken a 'dot.com' concept from the 'back of a fag packet' to sale of a fully integrated solution to an independent retailer and taken an internet solution to the city for funding and am currently an Internet consultant.

I don't condemn anyone for a genuine offer, however 'smart [censored]' "I could do that better" comments like that are ill considered, insulting (to the incumbent webmaster) and normally made without understanding of the REAL issues underlying a site.

Ok Ok !! calm down chaps !! it was a genuine offer of help and more tounge in cheek than anything....I am fully aware that the current site is perfectly ok !! no disrespect for Takedown but he dont 'alf know the buzz words !!! I sincerley apologise if there were any offence taken. Im looking for some webmatsers to help with Carp Kingdom, im looking for social stories, funny stories and genuine carp gabble and laughter...so dare i ask...anyone interested !!!!!
