I recomend you go to http://www.anti-angling.com. You should see the point of view there. There is a picture of a dead fish. it's supposed to be a coarse fish, but i don't know what it is???

The blood from the fish has been added to mimic a bleeding fish as well.... looks like there is a pinhole in it's back where the fishmonger had the price ticket too

I actually had a good look round the site, these people are weirdos!
Why do they do it?

They have nothing else to do I suppose...... they drift from one faction to the other finding something to complain about, be it important issues like pollution etc. to the other things like complaing about testing of pharmasuticles on animals... I just wonder if these people would say no to a drug to save their childs life if it had been tested on animals? I doubt it.

Nobby, lets not pay any tax or community charge but take all we can more like... I shouldn't sterotype them, there are some people who really do feel for their rights and are genuinly against some issues. These people pay their tax etc. so we can't put them all in the weirdo's catagory... 95% of them maybe.

Hi Ian.
Took your advice and had a look around the CAA site. They certainly seem to have got their act together. Bit frightning isn't it. But it would be interesting to see the compleate reports from the RSPCA and the Medway people. It looks to me that the site has just highlighted the bits that aid their propogangda. The Photographs were interesting though. The 'dead fish', obviousely not what it seems. And out of the others only the X-Ray of the 'Herring Gull' struck me as it could be real. The trebble in the 'Gannet' was obviously not all it seems. In all my life I've never seen a live bait especialy one that size bleed like that before and from a wound in that area. I could go on about the Duck that looks like a Gosling and the tackel in the mouth of a Goose, which isnt in the mouth at all. But still that aside it makes you wonder.
Cheers.

The Gnome.

I was pleased to see that this site was as rediculous as I envisaged it being!! You have to check out the 'Sabbing Angling' section. These people have nothing better to do with their lives, and are worried more about saving a life of a maggot, than more pressing issues. Just have a look at this section of the site and be amused.
Remember, don't throw maggots in the water... cos they drown.

I had someone once assault me for impaling a lugworm on a hook at Deal Beach... a lug worm? Please... I bet they all wear leather and have steak for tea.

One thing we must remember is that whilst we can visit their sites, they can also visit this one. Not that anything written on this forum plays into their hands, I just think we should be take care about what we say. It can be very easy to deliberately twist an "off the cuff" comment and paint a darker picture of reality.

I'm afraid that I couldn't resist e-mailing them and the urge got the better of me. Nothing too offensive, more tongue in cheek than anything, but I haven't received a reply yet.
I just couldn't sit there and read that rubbish and not say anything. Especially the bit on Sabbing, using 'High powered Water pistols', and banging dustbin lids under the water; which in my mind is promoting part of what they are trying to stop?!! i.e. they are stressing, or hoping to stress the fish out! Idiots.
The little note on Maggot safety still cracks me up!! They also issue a warning on throwing stones into the water incase they hit and damage a fish, or using little stones that the fish "may mistake for a fishermans groundbait, and eat"?????!!!!!!!

I was surfing an American site All Outdoors which has chat forums, which was talking about this subject, and encouraging their users to support our corner against the Anti's....goes to show they must be getting worried over there....good to know all us anglers are sticking together....
