Who do you think the best carp angler in britain is what english fish is the nicest (mary ,bazil ect)

boys - i had a pop at alex on this one in the *social* thread - so his reply to these digs is posted on there. most funny tho- terry hearn/mallin/shelley and co. should watch out for this boy- i think he won that social thingy magiggy...was it the one at that......hmmmmm...horseshoe isn't it?lol..

Its nice to see you all know I'm the best.
But the one man who is better than me is Chris Yates he is the godfather of fishing and every good angler at one stage in his life would have read one of his books or watched one of his videos.

When Del Ritchie fished the Manor in Essex he taught me a few things. The bloke is a diamond. But to me Terry Hearn has inspired me. His book is wicked. The best fish to me at the moment is QT which is in ARENA.

I am known as the alternative Chris Yates... maybe it's me.... Remember... the longer the time you spend at a water the better chance you have of catching a monster. If you want to pick a top angler it has to be someone who can fish any water, suss it out and produce from it in a minimal amount of time. My opinion again. I rate the carp caught under the ice this year as the top catch of the season so far by far........

From what i've read I reckon you should do a video cos you sound like a top top angler mate.Maybe all the profits could go to the charity of your choice or towards the beer at the social

Chris Yates is one of the best anglers I know and one of the best book writers and I don't think anyone could replace him not only his angling skills but his personality I find some of his stories quite amusing and I don't think anyone presents a video like Chris Yates and Bob James the best angling team there is.

Don't panic Alex I was only referring to my approach to angling. I am too common and come from the wrong part of the country to be a Chris Yates. As he is your mentor Alex what is all this about having all the latest tackle? I would have thought you would have gone for the more traditional methods mate.

I do in the summer but in the winter I like to just chuck out and go to sleep. But I love fishing Chris yates stlye in the summer its so much more fun than being sat behind the rods.

As from this forum.... I would rate Andy (carponlineeditor) one of the best anglers for carp on here.... he has limited time, timed sessions but he don't half catch some fish. If you put hours spent at the bank and fish on the bank I would rate Andy very highly indeed..... (Andy, you owe me a beer)
