Alright geezer, got home okay then? lol
I use an old chair that is exactly the same as the new fox one. You know the one with all the gangly legs. And I can say that it is really comfy, you can even put it up on quite a big slope too.

Check out the tried & tested on this site ...Ian reviews the Fox chair...£30....or you could go for the 'all singing' adjustable version for £40...pretty good value. Plus most shops will give you 10% off that too.
Happy hunting...

I wish I knew who had made my one. Because it is exactly the same as the Fox one but I have had it for over ten years.

Oh right, the only difference is mine looks worn out lol. But there again it has lasted for an awfully long time. I think it cost me about a fiver when I got it.

...additional info to above...My Doris bought me the Excel chair for Chrimbo...this is the fully adjustable one....I have had problems with the nuts that hold the legs on, coming undone...they seem to have decided to use domed nuts instead of nylock's....quite easily rectified though & don't let it put you off! Also one thing I prefer about the cheaper version is the lower sitting position you can opt for...handy for tucking yourself out of site of just right under your brolley for more shelter...
Hope this helps......waffle....waffle...

and ma be recliner!
i think jrc do one at 59.99
has any one got one of these?
or know similar?
cheers
dtd........fussy old so and so, ...im only 29
Hello Dave,
If you want some more padding try the JRC Hi lux chair - it has quite thick padding and a high back which makes it quite comfy & warm. It dosent have a reclining mechanism but you can have the rear legs folded down for a more reclined position. Its pretty light as well and mine is showing no signs of wear after a good couple of years of use. You should be able to pick one up for about £50 to £60.
Cheers
Tom
if you want a top of the range recliner go for the JRC Cocoon chair. This has loads of padding, reclining mechanism and has recently fallen greatly in price. Also look at the fox ones.
Hope that helps
Sam
Help, hope you dont mind me hijacking the thread a little but.......
ARGOS use to do a great seat/backpack for around 11.00.
They don't make them anymore.
Anyone PLEASE know of a decent ( mid broad bum) chair/backpack. I got two for Xmas but too small and I am only a 38.
I think shakespeare do one that fits the bill

I saw those fold up ones they did in Woolies too, the ones with the fold up arms. They were knocked down to a tenner and were sooooo comfy, I went to get a tenner and went back only to find that someone had apparently bought the whole lot. I spose he will have sold them for a lot more now from a boot sale or some such. They were the best value for money chairs i have seen.
Andy
Index also sell the chair / rucksack you are talking about - around the £10 mark

Hi DTD
Have a gander at the "Chub" range
I use the version listed at @£90-99 (Can't remember the name but top of the'chair' range)
I'm a fatish [censored word] and it has done me well the last 2-3 seasons with no problems

The Fox Excel
very light, and very very comftable.
And only 39.99
Can`t recommend it enough!
Have to agree with Dolly here.
Have just bought a Fox Excel a couple of weeks ago for my Barbel fishing, light weight and adjusts to any slope i want to sit on. Its also alot more comfortable than sitting on a bucket like i used to. (me carp mates will be happy now, a nice guest chair for them)
