First week down Fisher's Green, spent 3 days there this week, had 2 bites in this period, landed one at 7.05 and lost another (this was no doubt a double, had it under mey feet, ######## !!!) I must say how pleasant people are at the fishery, a real pleasure to be there.
Anybody put any info my way reagarding roach and perch in the lea/reliefchannel?

skelly,
In the summer you will see some very nice Roach under and around the 1st car park footbridge (Stubbings Lane), but they seem to fade away in winter.
I believe they migrate down the relief channel to the deep water of the Hooks Marsh stretch.
The Perch can be found in the river and the relief, the bigger fish tend to come from the deeper sections of the relief , try between the Road bridge and the Footbridge, it was in this section that the 4lb+ was caught, but since autumn the relief has carried too much colour for good Perch fishing.
Hope this helps.

Bob,
Info much appreciated

Two 3.5lb chub reported yesterday on cheesepaste.
Last Friday was the day to be there. I heard reports of over a dozen Barbel - a few doubles too. One lucky angler had four. Friday also fished well up river at Kings Weir with multiple catches being reported.
