Just a couple of ideas for the user list, how about removing anyone who has registered more than six months ago, but never made a post. Or failing that, how about a search engine so you can jump straight to someones profile with out having to guess which page they might be on.

If you already know the persons user name, then you can use the search forum feature to search for that user name, then go into the profile as you would normally.

As the user list is alphabetically listed I can't see the problem finding people
