Yo G

Last fish was Dave Ball with the Big Orane at 45......wow - saw that one - WOW!!!!! (b4 Xmas)

Pads lake fishing well earlier this week - 3 good twenties to Chris Fisher the other night from 'waiting mans'....top winter water that one now....

None of the big gals and guy's been out of the CP yet in 2002 - wouldn't bet on it staying that way for long with the 'new' weather we're getting now...luvly innit - air pressure bombed last night - mild - b'jesus i wish i wasn't in work...

Dave is an an almost unstoppable roll at the mo - caught big fish from Carpark - Dinton - Sutton - Horton this year!!!!!! (last one being a 31.8common from dintonm last weekend)

As for red card - well i mention it most times i see him in jest - but as plenty of old timers coming back for more at the moment it seems the red card doesnt count anymore anyway!!!!! LOL

Not long now and chunk has gotta show........

I am sweetheart and we are. (sigh)
Perhaps. I am still hibernating, though the recent warmth has pulled me from my slumber and I begin to feel the need for food. Brain food...

How many people on the CP are fishing for one particular fish? Are there alot of people fishing for some, and not many after the others or does it even itself out?

Also, how many of the guys would remove theirs rigs if a fish they weren't after came into their swim?

Lewis
28-01-2002, 16:24
Blimey Claus - very difficult question - the Carpark is so hard i dont think the majority of anglers on there care which fish they catch (unless its a repeat capture......)

I will explain - luckily ALL the fish in there are so awesome that most anglers honestly cannot narrow down to just one unless they have caught all the others already - how could they!!!! All in all Arfur/Chunky/Heather/Big Orange etc would each make an awesome target fish if just one was on its own in a water

As a gross simplification i would suggest that most want to catch Heather.......that is cos she has historically been seen as the daddyo, the Queen of the Lake, etc - i would concur with that view......

as for removing rigs from the water - depends on whether the individual has caught that particular fish ... and whether that fish is on its own - what do you do if the one you want is with the one you've caught!!!!!!

it doesn't happen a lot to be honest! be nice if it did though!!!

Personally - if i saw the Dustbin and Pearly heading for my bait it would be pulled straight out of there (but as i'm blind as a bat.....)

Good luck

It must be a real weird situation when you are pulling your rig out because 2 40's are swimming towards your bait!?!?!?! Mind you, if you only get a few chances a season, you'd want the chance to be with a fish you wanted.
I was just remembering reading about Little Jon's exploits, when he would target specific fish.

Claus

Yes - John had an awesome year - taking and applying a method to its fullest benifit - please realise that it just aint like that for the majority of time!!!! and for the majority of anglers........

I have the utmost admiration for Mr Coxheads approach - the dedication and effort were justifiably rewarded - however he would probably agree he couldn't have done it without having the time available that he had........and was making the absolute most of the chances he got through the ground work laid down in the close seaon..

Wish i was half as capable!!!

Re earlier post - Mick McHale did have Baz a fair while back - 48+ the weight. He used to live opposite me, but he moved a year or two back and I lost his number - DOH!
He drifted out of fishing, and was playing shedloads of golf last I heard.

Lewis

Most of the time unless you're stalking or fishing short range you can't see which fish are in your swim anyway. Also if you say for example you've caught the Dustbin twice already and saw it jump over your bait at 40yds range would you reel in and risk the fact that it could be feeding with Heather who hasn't shown herself? I think the answer is most likely NO.
Though as much as I hate agreeing with Lewis about anything ever, I would say that the majority of people if they had the chance to pull a bait away from a fish they've already caught probably would. Mind you if the fish had broken a new 10lb barrier would they??? I suppose it's down to the individual.

Lewis, I was just kidding about hating to agree with you ;-)

I do NOT use Bedger baits !!! I did not single handedly wipe out the North lake (a couple of very unfortunate co-incidences i admit BUT). The Car Park lake will be safe, the only thing you will have to worry about is the amount of bleedin film your gonna get through !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
Ther, I feel better now !!!!

Lewis
13-02-2002, 14:46
Wow - you even write in MOCKNEY!!!!!!!!!!

but as propreter of the S A arm of 'Bedger' international - i thought you had given Yommy the nod to get in there after you - keep the bait going in so to say.......

Bystanders may wish to note the following statement made by our dear Mockney friend here - and i will quote -

" this year is gonna be the bleedin year of the Orpham mate!!!!!"

By eck laaaaad - that be some grand claim you be boastin aboot theer......

Come on, the whole bloody syndicate take the pi*ss out of me for the whole season, just thought that I'd give you all some cracking ammo to shoot me with, always up for the laff like me old mucka !!!!!!
