have had mine for over 6 months and have used them in numerous different situations i would recommend them highly very smooth and light some people will say they are expensive for what they are but if you have the cash spare treat yourself

do a search as there was a thread a few months ago with loads of comments

The simple answer is sort of. They are are a highly engineered piece of kit and need to be treated accordingly. Lots of TLC and must be kept spotless around and under the spool. Any sign of sand or grit they turn into an eggbeater. I had one jam on me after heavy rain where grit had dripped inside the workings. Keeping the spools down obviously helps but does not solve the problem. keeping them clean was too much hassle so I got rid of mine. I need something I can use as opposed to look at and think 'that looks nice'. I am not sure why this is never mentioned on reviews? It is by far the worst reel I have used for having to keep spotless. That said when clean, as the reviews suggest, it is a dream and the quick drag fantastic.
