What bag would everyone buy if money was no object but you only wanted one do it all job, personaly I like natural fillings and would like a duck down one but would it be to hot for summer and there doesn;t seem to be that many on the market, what would you buy ?

I have tried various bags at all price ranges and I can happily report that the best bag I have used to date is the Fishrite Deep Heat @ £99.99.
I is superb in every way and I cannot fault one aspect of it. http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My ultimate would be a duck down job that is warm in the depths of winter and thin enough to leave on the bed chair and I could kip on top of it in summer with my tracker cover but does such a bag exist ?

I am lucky and own the ultimate bag as far as i am concerned and that is the Tails Up Combi bag. Very warm in the winter pull out the inner makes it ideal in the Summe. Packs down small and weights less than many of them out there. But the really plus is that i have had it & used it for the last 10 plus years, now that is quality.

the wychwood system bag is absolutely brill ! it comes with a removable fleece lining built in pillow and a wellie wipe ,the bust out zips are superb and it has a draft flap over the zips ! the only fault i have so far found in a year of use are the ties that secure it to the bedchair are a bit prone to ripping off so i would advise only doing up the ones at the feet and head ends !!!!

the jrc stealth 5 should fit the bill m8,i do exactly what you want to do with yours,ie leave it on the bedchair ,in it in winter etc and it is a pukka piece of kit

Is the tails up combi that you can buy now as good as the old ones ? also have heard the stealth 5 season is available in duck down but never seen one.

Aqua, they're waterproof, have a removable liner and are half price at the moment, awesome product from a british company. Check out the aqua site mate, you won't be dissapointed. great all year bag.

spot on, stealth 5 gets my vote with the bedchair cover for summer / spring http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Purchased a tails up combi 2 years ago. They must of been better years ago as i have been cold in mine even in November under a brolly. I have come across other anglers who have been dissapointed with them who have purchased them in the last 2 years or so. Not very good when you have forked out top money.

So what was the score Mr Rawcliffe ?

Now use Snugpak bags for the colder months.

Tails up Goliath 5 and a Trakker fleece cover. Fleece only in Summer, Goliath in nippier Spring / Autumn and both for depths of Winter... quality and spec top notch from both products.

Singy, I had one of them and although they're top notch and warm, don't you find the half length zip a pain?

i didn't actually. Every time I have to get out the bag for a run, I actually have no recolection of how the hell I did it anyway. I suddenly just find myself holding a rod with assorted mayhem and schrapnel scattered around me. http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Even found myself still in the bag once or twice http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm like that mate, dunno how it happens but I used to end up with the bag next to my rods with me. Now I've got the aqua one that straps to the bed I'm pretty chuffed it stays put or the contents of my bivvy would end up coming along for the ride!
