Ian, with all the different sections of the season would it be practical for RMC to issue an annual permit for the group & special venue permits? Any one else out there in favour of this? I Know I am, I know it may be inpractical with the rivers still having the close season but I still think it would be better than having to purchase a season and a spring one.

I was referring to the group & coverall permits, could it be done for those making sure that a rule was added that anyone caught fishing when not permitted too will be chucked off the water?

How about a barbel/river ticket Ian ? For a fixed price you could fish Fishers Green, Loddon, St Pats, Burghfield and Tyringham....

The fishing permit issued by the NRA is annual although the rivers have a close season, I still think that the option of an annual permit would make things easier, I do see the admin problem but then again business do have admin problems that should be able to be sorted. I will not purchase a spring permit as I think that it is expensive for just the spring. Maybe it would be better all round if we had a blanket closed season again. It used to be a great feeling that on June 16th the fish had not been caught or disturbed for 3 months, all the bankside vegedtation was flourishing, now the magic has gone...... progression I suppose.
