Insurance Against Theft

I don't know if this is of any use to anyone but my best mate (he's not a carp angler) has been in the insurance game for years.

You would have to change your home contents over to him but for around £8 to £15 per month, depending on the value you want to insure he can cover your tackle (fishing) on the same policy.

Mine is covered if it's broken accidently, nicked from the house or from the car or from the lakeside.

Sounds just like my contents insurance which covers me up to £5000 of tackle when not at home and £7,500 at home plus my normal home contents. The tackle is covered in the car (as long as its locked) and even on the bank. New for old policy. But mine only costs £4.00 per month. I spose it depends on how much cover you have for your contents??

Correct, the reason I posted it was becasu a couple of my mates haven't got insurance which, when it only costs a few pints a month, seems mad.

It is still a shame we have to worry about it though.

I wonder how much of the tackle for sale in a single species weekly magazine is of duboius origin?????????
