Not exactly somerset but pallington in dorset is definately worth a chuck if you can get there. About 10 mins outside dorchester if you've not been there. I can give you more info if you want, just reply on here or pm me if you can.

can i have some more info please
3 lakes. 2,5 and 7 acres. Coarse (7acres) and rainbow(5 acres) lakes stuffed with carp and quite a few tench. Plenty of carp to double figures, a few twenty's and two low thirty's apparently in the last few weeks. The 2 acre lake/pond is the "tench pool". This has been netted to remove majority of carp to rainbow lake but likewise, tench continually being moved from rainbow to tench pool. Some very nice tench in there. Go to their website for general info and records etc. (www.pallington.freeuk.com)
I can put you onto some hotspots if you like (probably a stupid question!!). Get hold of some of the pallatrax baits as well. They're excellent. Frozens obviously better than shelf lifes but shelfers are still v. good. The guys on site will put you on the best bait of the moment.
Hope this helps!!

cheers where is the location exactly
Look for dorchester on a map, find the A35 and the Kingston Maurward roundabout. (South-east Dorchester). Follow the minor road east(ish) towards Tincleton. It's probably 3-4 miles but seems longer! The fishery is just east of Tincleton, on the right hand side. You can't miss the gates as there's a dirty great sign outside! Look for electricity pylons as these run across the top of the complex..(good landmark).
Hope you find it!
If you decide to fish there, give 'em a ring to make sure it's not fully booked as they do limit numbers. Shouldn't be a problem this time of year but best to check. Contact details are on their website, which is worth a look!
Hope this helps,
Lata.

Kingcarp,
Let me know what kind of carp fishing / carp you're after and I will give you some ideas. I'm a keen carp angler from Bridgwater and know quite a few waters in this area,
