I dont know if this will be any help but I fished Wraysbury two a few years back. In fact it was before they apparently put a bund down part of it splitting it into two, so it may be quite different now. Not sure how to describe where I mean but as you approach the lake from the M25 end there used to be a little car park, next to a house. I used to park there and then walk up the right hand side of the lake. Oh the is (or should I say was) a large pipe sticking out of the ground which was on fire cos of the landfill. Very useful when freezing in the winter so you could quickly walk over and warm up. Odd though feeling like youre burning on the front and your bum is still freezing lol.

Anyway I found that some of the carp used to go all round that part of the lake. There are lots of small islands which arent too hard to cast to, some are though. I saw some pretty large fish in there too. The largest I saw though was the only one I hooked in four months of fishing it, as I say though it was in the winter. I had one take, struck and this huge dorsal fin came out of the water. I tried to turn the thing round with my fifteen pound line but the carp was having none of it and just kept slowly tugging out into the lake. It eventually got to one of the sailing bouys and that was that. I got a bit upset about that lol and decided that there were easier places to fish. But there are some beauties in there. Apparently some of the chaps that fish there are a bit secretive though as there is more in there than you may think.

As I say not much help but there you go, good luck with it,

Andy

thanks mate,
ive seen some great areas for those carp ,
some well used swims ive noticed aswell
how ever i think this one will need a bit of
luck,instinct,and plenty of water watching,
walking round ,plumbing those depths etc
i know it gets weedy ,great challenge,
ive been told it gets quite busy in the warmer months
is this true?
it was a shame to see so much litter over by the station/outlet
this area seemed popular!
is parking ok round this end also
cheers
