Doe's anybody know what the fishing is like on the west hythe section of the Royal military
as i have been asked to try and find out
any info will do
Thanks
The Royal Mil. Canal is very good for Pike, eels, Bream and most other species, there are a few Carp in there but rarely caught probably because they are not specifically fished for. I Sometimes fish there for the pike when the sea is too rough to fish and have always caught one or 2, nowt big though. As for the bream I have seen some good hauls but not very big, about 4lb being the largest.

Gary what type of fishing are you asking about. The carp fishing is excellent with the chance of a thirty. There are plenty of carp from singles up to twenties and they can be caught through out the winter.Day tickets are available on the bank and only cost a few quid.If you want to know any more please ask.
Blimey Neil, I go there 3 or 4 times a season and haven't seen a Carp angler there once. You sure you mean the west side of Hythe Neil? I have spoken to a few anglers there and they told me the same.... maybe it one of those hush, hush things /images/forum/icons/smile.gif
