Jim
I`ve not seen it myself, but a couple of people have and say its nearer 45 than 40. Its not been out for about 2 1/2 years so its a real prize especially as no one really knows what weight the fish has made. Last out at 36+ a real whacker!.
All i can say is hold tight scaley, Jim Shelly`s on his way!
Also what about the Thorpe park common almost certainly over 40 what a cracker!
Keep it very real.
Dave.
Also Jim
will you be starting the season on Horton?
And what other waters will you be trying with your gold card?.
Sutton would have to be the best bet for next winter.
Keep it real
Dave

Hi guys,
Scaley....what a fish. Who knows how big she is looks can be deceiving, shes never been out over 40 so we can't tell until she's on the bank. However she was seen back in the summer with my old mate Shoulders. In the water Scaley looked physically bigger so she could well be in her forties. But you have to remember that she is an exceptionally well proportioned fish for her size.
As for Thorpey i doubt that she is 40 yet. She's only gone up a few onces each year, she might just scrape it at the right time of year though.
Anyway the Cash is back in March so I'll let you know the exact sizes once they're in my net! (he,he,he)
Has everyone forgotten Shoulders, it's nearly a year since he was last out, could well be up in weight.
So here's to March, looking forward to it.

Hi Jim
I can uderstand you wanting to keep other plans to yourself.
I`m sure it would be nice for you to get some peace without everybody knowing what your doing. Especially after the mega year you`ve had.
I read your other post about baiting up big time at horton during the close season i intend to put a bit of the Pro-liver in then myself.
So i`ll see you there caty`s at the ready
Keep it very real.

And don't forget guys Horton is just one of the places that Tails Up is looking for more people on. If any of you are interested in joining a baiting team on a water like this or any of the other superb RMC waters please call us or send me a private e.

Hi Steve
Particles are great. I've used tons of them in the past and they're a very good way to catch Carp. Trouble is they don't put weight on fish in the same way that Protavit Liver does and they do not work anything like as well in winter (generally speaking) It's also a lot more difficult to add those certain special attractors that we all love so much. Now a combination of the two in my mind is a very good idea and something I do myself. I usually also use groundbait, hemp and broken boilies. The mixture takes all the additives and releases the signals and variety of baits the moment it hits the water. (still I'm sure you know that! I'm adding that bit for others who may not)
Still if you like I could colour Pro LiverYellow or paint it white with a Black stripe for you!
Nice to see you on the site.

Hi Steve
True, True,
I just made a point on my reply re Readymades about crushed bait and I'm wondering wether you've ever tried it under the conditions you speak of? Interesting one to follow. I know exactly what you're talking about. I've done the same. But this method has worked especially when I have no particle to hand. It also works in reverse ie fish spooking over particles, chuck out some boilies and get a take etc. Interested to hear your thoughts. I'll get you wearing a Tails Up T shirt yet!!!!!
Regards
JR
after seeing it in the water, i would love to bag tetleys common. top geezer, top fish!
as for shoulders, i put my money on del or frogger!
good luck, keeping it cliche free!
**sam**
I don`t know about Frogger catching shoulders he`s been trying for the last 10 years!!. But i would love to be there when he finally does. And you never know it could happen by the end of the season. I hope it does.
Keep it real and come on SHOULDERS!
