The Boss (Ian) has finally broken his Pads lake jinx.
After a shakey start (bagging a tench and then a pike) a carp was lost this morning. Then out of the blue a 20lb+ mirror was landed.
Just now Ian's text to say the blanks are long forgotten as he's banked a 30lb 6oz. More to follow I would suspect.

I'll be hoping to emulate that in a couple or three weeks Mr F! I'll take Huggy and Viv to the cleaners!http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Great result.

I am presuming it was a mirror?

We were fortunate to have a chat with the lads who had done the previous 48 hours, and were told alot of fish were in the shallows (first part of teh lake you come to).

Not sure if you allowed, but if you turn to the right when you come to the lake (keeping CP behind you) the first tree is excellent for climbing, and will allow you to look into the shallows.

Otherwise just cast to off the pads....worked for me.
