Has anyone heard of Farlows near Langley Village which is close to Slough.
My local tackle shop recommended it, but he didn't have that many details regarding the cost of a day ticket etc....

Might just be a case of turning up and seeing how the land lies. Any help appreciated.

I fished a Farlows a couple of times - I seem to remember it cost about £6 for 12 hours for 2 rods or £10 for 24 hours. There are a couple of ticket machines by the "cafe". Good stock of fish and a nice lake - just a shame where it is and the state of it. It is right on the hard shoulder of the M25 and when I last visited there was litter & line everywhere - and to go with this lots of rats!

Have a chat with the guys in the tackle shop that is on site - they were very helpful and have put me on fish every time I have been there.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Farlows has a huge head of fish but as Tom sais it's in need of some serious maintainance. Please be very carefull with your tackle because theft is very common up there.Having said that I've had the odd night fishing up there when working away from home and enjoyed it.The fish follow the wind and so do the anglers.

It is a tremendous fishery, but due to it being so busy, gets into a bit of a mess! We need RMC running it.

It is fished for carp in the main, but also a lot of pleasure and match anglers get on there too. There are some clonking roach in there too.

I was fishing up there for two night with my mate Tony Parker. On the other side of the lake the British Carp Angling Championships was started on our second day.

When we arrived, and walked into Tony's swim there was a huge Roach in the margins dead, which was over 3lb. I goes, Blimey Tony look at that Roach mate! ' Urrgghh' came the reply, so I goes 'no look at the size of that its massive', Tony only bothered about carp at that time reply 'XXXX Roach'.

Anyway over the course of the next day, as anglers turned up to fish the match, they all walked into Tonys Swim and without exception, asked Tony if he had seen the size of the daed road in the margins' he he he over 50 times he was asked, I reckon thats the Roach god getting revenge!

Anyway, it was huge and the roach may well be worth a go for in the Winter. Day tickets cost around £7 I think, and there is a tackle shop, cafe and bar on site!

Give it a go!

Cheers
