Burghfield, Blue Pool

Planning on fishing the Blue Pool, but reading this site it seems like an out and out carp water?
Would I be daft going down there and tackling it with my trusty quiver and 6lb line?
Anyone on this site fished it without a full on carp approach?

Dont see why not, a fish is a fish is a fish, and all that...

Don't know what the stocks of silver fish are but my only concern would be if you hooked one of the larger carp on 6lb line...

it can be done mate but you will lose too many fish that way as the fish in there go like stink!
might be better on the match lake (burghfield) smaller average size
