View Full Version : Bed Chairs.
I am hoping to buy myself a bed chair.... I don't want anything fancy, just one that will last, I don't care what make it is and it must be a reasonable price, anyone know of an economy bed chair that is a reasonable price & wont fall apart after the first season?
Tony
I've had the chub economy bedchair for over a year now and no probs yet. And at just under a ton you can't really argue with that.
As long a you can afford a fork lift truck to get it to your swim!!!
Keeping it heavy!

Try the JRC Clubman bedchair, it costs about 89.99 and is really well padded. it comes with adjustable legs and is fairly light. I have had mine for nearly a year and it has stood up to the abuse i have given it. it comes with free mudfeet aswell.

staying with JRC you can pick up a top of the range super cocoon III bedchair for 180 notes saving you 120 quid off RRP

Tony,
In the past I have had Fox and JRC which were ok,but for the last18months I have used a Chub.
It was resonably priced and very strong.

I've got the basic Chub as well, I reckon the adjustment for the back is much better than on fox/jrc ones where you have to unscrew it, also I didn't think it was that heavy.
I'd better spend more time in the gym then????

Scorpio, the best thing to do is look in the second hand section in carp talk, as long as the bedchair is in good condition you could get a really good bargain.
The other day I found and ad for two shimano symetre rods for 130 squid, they were in better condition than my other 2 (I broke 1 of them!) so I managed to get 2 for the price 1 would be in the shops and they were in exellent nick.
It would also be a good idea to advertise in the wants section to describe what bedchair you want.
Hope you get what you are looking for.
If they still sell them the JRC PHYTHON 3leg, longer than your average bedchair for the 6 foot angler and still very light i got mind from snags for £129.99 which was £100 off!.
superb bit of kit.

I agree with SAMR,in that the JRC Clubman is good for the money. It retails for £125...but can be got for about £80-£90.
It's light,(although they're all heavy half way round the lake!),and seems sturdy.
I only use mine occasionally so would expect a long life from it.Why not get a reclining chair instead? I use this mostly with a bag to prop my feet up for a good nights kip!
With a bag or blanket draped over you're up and running far faster than tucked up in a bedchair altough you will have to wear more layers as it's not so warm with the draft.

i thought you were 'anti carp talk' yappi?
good suggestion. dont forget the freeads papers. loads of places are doing deals on bedchairs. seems the bottom has fallen out of the market. hope the bottom doesnt fall out of the bedchairs.
have a comfy one!
keeping it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Not really, I just think the site is not very nice ( have to be careful what I say!!)
