Ian,
Fair point however I have fished some fairly untouched waters in the past.
I think i will go to the pads with a fairly open mind, however I will start off with rigs, bait etc. that frequently produces for me and will also take other varieties of methods if I struggle.
Do they like it off the surface in there?

Cheers
James

when you go there, use trout pellets or halibuts as they have been reared up on this and it will seem like natural food.
Good luck

Hi Bovis.

Me an the boy, along with a couple of mates are on there for my birthday this year late July early August. Thinking about Big Fish Mix and Cranberry over Pellet in bags. But I dont know much about the lake except what I've read here and in the mags. By the way Ian. Whats the chance of a vist a bit nearer the time? Just for a looksee to get some idea of how to approach it? Any info from the early birds would be good also. And I'd be more than happy to let the followers on know how we do. Cant wait till July?

Ian
I've booked the 'Pads Lake' in July. Are the 'swims' numbered, if so which is 'Pole-Position'
we are taking a couple of anglers new to carp fishing and would like to put them in a swim
where they have a fair chance of at least connecting with a decent fish.
Many Thanks
Sam
