Help Please

Lateley I seem to be having problems where, when I am on the main index it shows in red text new threads & posts, however when I click on for example General Carp chat it doesnt show in red which posts & threads are new, therefor I don't know. It isn't happening pemanently just regularly. Anyone else having this happen????

If you visit a board and then leave and come back later the posts will change from red, I have mentioned this to Billy on numorous occasions but he informed me that it cannot be altered unfortunately.... a nightmare for us moderators I can tell ya.
