i fished this water extensivly 3 years ago for the tench, good carp can be caught if you put in the effort regarding location.
I caught a few fish to high double along the bank to the right hand side of the bridge over the river if you come onto the fishery by the pub.
Also lost a couple of good fish on the large point on the river bank.
Sorry this is not to carp related but might put you in a happier frame of mind!!
