Dan, last time I fished the South was about 4 or 5 years ago, but I had best results with popped up tigers over big beds of party mix. May have changed since then, but hope this helps a bit.
Mike.
p.s. I'm amazed you havn't had any more response, have you tried ringing Yateley Angling, would have thought they would have pretty up to date info.
Good Luck.

Hiya Dan,
I have never even seen the lake but if you look at the threads for the last six months or at least a longer period of time (which can be done with the little drop down box at the top os the section) you will find lots of posts about this water.
Hope you find what you are after, you should as there is a lot on here about the lake.
Cheers, Andy

Hi Dan,
The going swims seem to be the car park, matts corner, the reeds and the boss, with most people chucking to the gap in the islands. The back bay and snags area also produces alot of fish. Cream cajousers and mistral rosehip seem to be popular although any quality bait will produce.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Scooby.
lads, cheers for the replies.... appreciated! another question for you though, maybe Ian can answer this? is there anywhere near the south lake where i can have a shower and get cleaned up. as i think we is gonna be up there for 5 nights!
Dan, although not really the place to do, but there is a leisure centre just up the road. You might be able to "have a swim" and a shower.
The south fished very slow this weekend with only around 8 fish caught. 5 of these were from the car park swim. I sneaked one out on Sunday, 16lb mirror.
As soon as the pressure had eased, by about midday on Sunday the fish came alive.
Bubbling and crashing everywhere, up until then we hadn't seen a fish all weekend.

I put Adam right on it Saturday night. PVA bag with a single hookbait and not a sniff, odd?
The point swims (Boss etc) seem to be the ones at the moment, apart from the car-park, as the fish seem to be between the islands.

Are the car park swims still disabled anglers (and bailiffs!!) only? I was up there a couple of weeks ago and the fishing was slow. The only person to catch was one of the bailiffs fishing to the car park swims. Lots of fish in that area but you can't fish it because it is (or was?) disabled only. Very frustrating!
I thought it was only the right hand car park swim that is a disabled swim.
Cheers
Scooby.
Last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago) both swims were disabled only.

i fished a very slow 36 hours in June last year, apparentlky the fish were just spwaning, the carp park swim did the goods and swim 6, the bailiffs i reckon produced 1 too...only 4 fish caught while i was there.
I had a pike from the back bay whilst reeling in a boilie!!!
and then i did the night on the reeds then moved 2 swims down the next morning to matts corner to get my line in a better angle, only did a tench though!
oh well, ive fished Yateley twice, south and pads, and blanked carpwise, maybe 3rd tome lucky at the social next motnh...
lets hope so
and i hope this helps...
