After my recent bad decision to hit the lake from Sunday night on , I am thinking of doing a few days from Wednesday . Bearing in mind the beautiful weather , will it be as hard as I think it will be i.e. Chuffin Hard ? Still better than working in Scotland !
Any suggestions on tactics/swims gratefully received and will result in blessings from the carp gods !

assuming you're talking about sandy.......well read the catch report I'll be getting Billy to put up later and then decide for yourself.....have to say though you won't be jumping up and down with excitement....!!! I may still give it a go , better to blank on a proper water than bag up on a puddle .

Set up a spare rod with a zig-rig on it and try it every now and then, chucked out far....the fish do loiter around mid water as it gets colder.

Also try a small cork ball wrapped in paste on a looooong hooklink. As the paste dissolves the bait raises off the bottom accordingly so searching the bottom half of the water. Recast every couple of hours.....I nicked a few fish in the cold like this...allbeit before it went day ticket.
