I can recommend the pre-bait approach........shoved a load in one evening, spent the night on Burghfield....and then we did rather well the next day by trickling bait in little & often through the day.
Only a couple of other fish were out.......

Spent a enjoyable day at the blue pool yesterday, got there at ten which was a bit late, cast out and sat back and waited to haul,3 hours later nothing,so i went walkies and managed three takes a landed one,i had to work very hard for a take with only a couple of fish out all day,it must of been a slow day i suppose, but all said a lovely little water and i will be going back!,for six quid good value for money too. http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I still think you have to think a little bit on the Bluey. Most days I fish the Bluey there are people blanking. There are, however, some nice gravel bars which the fish feed on , plus the margins really musn't be ignored. Had 13 runs down there in a day about a month back. Incredible fishing!!!! But chuck out a PVA bag in the middel of nowhere and you can't be GUARANTEED a run.
Cheers
Chris
