Rivercarper,
You saw where I was fishing last week, try and get a swim in the trees and fish the margins. If it is really high fish it bolt rig and back lead. All the big fish come out in really flooded conditions.

Rivercarper,
I came up to introduce myself but someone else was talking to you and I did not want to interupt. We will have to meet up before the season ends. Maybe you could tell me why I have to go into edit to send posts.

Hi rivercarper,
River is well up and still really pushing through. With the recent rain it has really coloured up. Temps are good, today - 46'F, as you know been like this for 3-4 days now.
Heard of a few nice fish coming out yesterday..

Rivercarper,
Sorry I'm not allowed out at weekends unless her indoors has Flu ha ha , If you go in those swims I would suggest you use light carp gear as you cannot afford to give any line. The gear I use in there consist of 2lbtcWhisker carp rods, 12lbbs fox soft steel,2ozs+in line Korda leads( free running)to a small length of 15lbbs silkworm virtually every bait is hair rigged. I know this isn't traditional but I like to convert the bites I get.
Best of Luck
