This announcement has been up for 7 days and not had a single enquiry from this website, could this mean there is not many Pike anglers veiwing the site, or maybe we need a Pikers page, maybe for a trial period and see what interest it generates..........(if any).......wot you say Boss !!!!

Is the Fish-In open to non RMC Anglers?

I don't want to go into a pike angling debate but years ago we used to fish for Pike in the winter as the Carp were hard to catch, now with new baits and better stocked waters people stick with the Carp, it is the same with the trout, waters open 24/7, the trout naglers still fly fish instead of piking.

Thats good. I think I will give this one a go.

It is a shame that there are relatively few pikers around as I believe the pursuit of larger fish offer their own unique set of challenges. As Scorpio says, the advances in bait technology amongst other things means many of those Carp Anglers who switched over to pike over the winter period no longer do so. I personally think they are missing out, but I cannot knock the dedication they display.

We need this event on Wraysbury Two, to be a sucess again as we get noticed by many non-anglers and with this fishery being a sensitive site for birds, wildfowl and dragonflies, we need to keep angling on there, and this Fish-In helps our cause. So i ask you to please make the effort

So having purchased the ticket for this session, I was eagerly checking over my gear Wednesday evening. Thursday and Friday in Madrid. Friday night I find the missus has been struck down with Flu. So instead of doing battle with the pike of my dreams I am spending the entire weekend looking after her and the children. Absolutely gob-smacked. So what happened at the fish-in? Anyone out there care to enlighten me?
