Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone had any latest news on Sandhurst?
I'm down there this weekend with the old man, to hopfully bag a few, so just wondered whats been happening?
Much been out? Any going areas to look at? Baits? etc etc....

Cheers,
Paul

it's a bit slow at the moment and the weed is pretty much up over most of the lake - though not quite as bad as last year....most of the fish out in recent weeks are being caught no more than 15 yards from the bank....fair few fish being lost in the weed.....main success coming from little pva bags....

when are you down Paul.....I'll be around from Thursday early evening for the weekend so you're quite welcome to come and find me and go for a walk round and i'll try and point out some decent areas.

There are rumours of some weedkilling being done this Friday - perhaps Mr Welch would like to confirm (and also indicate the effect of this on the fishing if any.....)

http://www.rmcangling.co.uk/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif..... gotta love the weed....did have a few to just over 20 out over 3 nights a couple of weeks ago which was nice....but have to say NO-ONE is hauling at the moment....it really is mainly just the odd fish here and there....does seem to be bigger fish though - just out of the 5 fish out that i know about over the last week or so i think 3 were 25+ and one was just over 20......there have been a few more out than that - i don't have details though.....lots of tench coming out though - i've had 2 at about 6.5lb and they don't half scrap.....!
